Scott Atkinson, Esq.

Scott was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and attended undergraduate and law school at the University of New Mexico. After graduating from law school in 1989, Scott worked as an associate attorney for a local firm and participated in more than 200 cases in the areas of insurance defense, business and contractual matters (including SEC regulatory matters), and estate/probate matters. In 1995, Scott founded and became the sole practitioner of Atkinson Law Firm, LTD. 

Since that time, Scott has provided legal services to a clientele exceeding 6,000 individuals in matters pertaining to estate affairs, plaintiff’s injury cases, Guardian Ad Litems for injured minors, and has garnered appointments as a Personal Representative in excess of 250 wrongful death cases. His selected case experience includes a $2.45M wrongful death settlement in a confidential plaintiff’s motor vehicle accident and a trust dissolution and creation of a manageable estate from a 523-page trust. 

When not practicing law, Scott enjoys watching the Sooners play on Saturdays, dialing his aim in archery, and fishing with his son Kealan.
